good luck

Sponge · 31/01/2005 15:19

Please do get it checked. I had pre-eclampsia and swollen ankles were the first sign for me. However it's encouraging that yours have gone down - mine didn't.
Still, better safe than sorry.

misdee · 31/01/2005 15:20

they said not to worry, speak to consultant on weds. panic over

fat and anoyed!!

mears · 31/01/2005 15:31

misdee - always good to get things checked out but as a bit of reassurance, ankle swelling is a poor sign of pre-eclampsia. It is extremely common, especially when you have been on your feet. It is also good that it went down again after rest. The most important factors are blood pressure and proteinuria. Most pregnant women will have a trace of protein and swollen ankles, but if it is something that dramaticaaly changes then you definately need to get seen. Just don't want you worryng too much misdee when you have so much on your plate at the moment.

misdee · 31/01/2005 15:33

i'm gettign fat lol. apparently i only look 5/6months pregnant. thats good eh lol.

cheers mears. i'm sure they'll check everything thoroughly weds. and no doubt i'm due some blood tests this week as well grrrrrrrrrrrr. well it has been a while lol.
