Does anyone have any advice/miracle cures?

Have tried agnus castus, evening primrose etc. Alleviated it a bit but wondered if you knowledgeable ladies know of anything else?

I have only suffered badly since DS4 was born, more so in the last couple of years. Never used to understand what everyone went on about-now I do big time! When I have it life seems worthless and I feel as if I am in a big black hole. I also get really angry and am hell to live with. It really is ruining my life (and DH's)

Also, is it normal to get it at all different times of the month? I get it random days and have it now but have only just ovulated.

Or maybe I am just depressed?

TIA

Bloody hell I wrote pretty much the exact same post this afternoon! back from the doc's two hours ago and he prescribed me fluoxetine (prozac) I was so desperate I would have tried anything! I too had tried all the herbal stuff and had started getting it around the time I ovulated as well.
I know this course of action sounds a bit drastic but if it is really affecting you/your family it might be worth a shot.
Good luck anyway. I will be posting in a month or so with an update!

Chocolate.
Wine.
Evening Primrose.
Room to vent.
A load of digestives to bash to make a cheesecake base.(Somebody laughed at that suggestion last week. Don't knock it til you've tried it.)
Very good hair.

Goober - have rubbish feathery hair - adds to my woes.

Will try digestive bashing though - better than DH's head.

Hi Twizzler
I can empathize with you as I have suffered with an increasing intensity of PMT and also have four kids!. What I have found to have amazing results is a RIO Light Mask. It is an eye mask using light therapy that you use for a 15 minute sessions each day. The mask pulses an array of lights before your closed eyelids and the pattern of them is supposed to be beneficial for PMT. Some people after using the mask for several months have a complete loss of PMT syptoms. I used to be hell to live with the week before I started and would get irratable, moody, tender breasts etc. and divorce my husband monthly! Since using the mask my periods have on some months totally caught me off guard and my usual build-up symptoms and emotions gone. Yes I still get moody but my symptoms are reduced and I have been using my mask for about four months now. If you want to see one there is one for sale on ebay at present if you do a search for it.
Good luck and hope this information helps.

cut out sugar, it has a huge impact. i've been having horrific pmt in the run up to my 1st period in 2 yrs after birth of ds.. have cut out sugar & bread and started taking a supplement called Muscleze by Nutri which is high in magnesium to remove excess oestrogen from the body, it also has B6, B9 and chromium in and i have been a totally different person this month - no pain or nothing . It's not cheap though, but been worth every penny for me.

Thanks Puffylovett and Mumtofour.

Will look into both of these.
