sometimes when I move my head and stretch neck, there is a horrible cracking sound

No idea but sympathy.
My jawbone suddenly started making a funny crack about a year ago. If i go to open my mouth I can't open it very far without moving it slightly sideways then it makes a funny crack.
No idea why but doesn't hurt. Does yours?

no it doesn't hurt so maybe is no problem, it's just a little startling at times!
