Should I get this checked or am I overreacting?

Discovered this on my ear a few days ago and have made the mistake of googling.

I really have no recollection of doing anything that would give me a scab on my ear.

I don’t know if I’m overreacting as I know of a couple of people being treated for skin cancer recently.

Should I get this checked or am I overreacting?

I would get it checked, if nothing else for peace of mind.

Thanks for replying. I’ll maybe see if it disappears/reappears first.

I’m overthinking a lot just now!

Was it a piercing site?

Was it a piercing site?

No. My ears are pierced. But it’s directly below, not over the hole.

How long has it been there?

Has it grown since you first saw it?

It’s only been a few days. And I’ve taken it off now Blush It’s obviously nothing. Just don’t know where it came from.

Do you use hair straighteners?

Do you use hair straighteners?

I do, occasionally, and that was my first thought as I’ve definitely burnt myself in the past but never there. I’m pretty certain I’ve not done that.
