How to heal scrapes and grazes???

I took a tumble last week and the grazes feel really slow to heal. Day 5 and the one on my knee is still raw and in a couple of places has bled today. I’ve tried Savlon, anti septic cream and a spray on plaster but nothing is helping. I’ve cleaned it tonight (which turned my stomach!) and I’ve now put La Roche Posay cicaplast b5 baulme on it. But nothing is helping!

Knees often take longer to heal because when you bend your knee you break the scab. As long as you don’t think it’s infected then just keep it clean and make sure you eat a healthy diet with enough protein.

Generally with grazes i clean them, put some antiseptic cream on them when they first happen and then leave them, give them some air they will scab over, no more creams or plasters.

I would say do less. Leave it to air and eat well. It you keep touching it it won't have a chance to heal.

Leave them. If you keep putting on creams it will keep it moist and it won't heal as quickly.

I use sudocrem on lots of wounds to help with healing.

Put a plaster on it. It's a myth that wounds need to air.

5 days is not long enough to repair especially on a knee.
it’s still in inflammation stage, if really interested there are stages of wound healing to google. As others said, keep it clean (don’t add creams) dry and eat well.

It’s just killing me. It’s so tight when dry that I can’t bend my knee, and moist wounds heal 50% faster than dry ones. So I thought putting creams on it would help!

I fell over early this year and grazed my knee and it amazed me how painful it was and for how long. I used savlon and a big plaster over it but it was agony for a good couple of weeks. I’ve no idea how kids manage with constantly scraped knees!

Leave it alone, the creams are just making it worse.
If you want to put something over it then a blister plaster is best. But nothing will also work well.
