4.5 yr old dd with faint BO in armpits?

We've never used soap till now, because she has mild eczema - but even so, I thought any smell of BO was abnormal until puberty?

Its not noticeable unless I put my face in her armpit and sniff (was having a cuddle and playing with her at bedtime, not deliberately sniffing ) but is definitely mild BO.

Am slightly worried about my baby

Thanks, I'll get some - I've not noticed any odour on her since using baby body wash the past two nights (she has a bath every evening) but am concerned that its begun so early.

Am wondering whether to take her to GP?

Well, the hot weather is probably not helping.

Thank you Trefusis, thats very reassuring - yes, you're absolutely right, was worrying about precocious puberty type stuff.

Will calm down and stop trying to find excuses to sniff dd's armpits

And the evening I noticed it, we were in a very very hot room in a B&B (avoiding building dust) where dd had been bouncing off the walls...beds...you name it...for a couple of hours.

So yes, hot weather not helping.
