Persistent thirst for six weeks despite normal blood tests and diabetes checks

I’ve been suffering with persistent and very annoying thirst for the last 6 weeks or so. I have just been diagnosed with osteoporosis, so thought it could be calcium but bloods came back normal. Also tested for the usual thirsty suspects (diabetes, electrolytes) and all good.
It’s driving me mad. Think im
weeing a lot too but that could be in response to thirst.
Diet is pretty good, low salt / upf. Any ideas would be gratefully received as I don’t feel I can bother GP with this .

Check your medication for possible side effects.

Thank you. I haven’t started the osteoporosis meds yet and there’s nothing else

I had this recently. My thyroid was overactive and that potentially seems to have caused it (over medicated with thyroxine). I was drinking over 4 litres a day, and still very thirsty. I'm fine again now.

You might not be getting enough salt if you are purposely trying to avoid it. You need salt to stay hydrated.

I’m the same at the moment but I have a blocked nose and it’s making my breathe through my mouth which is making me very thirsty!

I’m hypo and take thyroxine but actually TSH was higher than I’m comfortable on (3 something), glad you got yours sorted

I seem particularly sensitive to salt, which is why I’m careful.

Looked up on AI and going to measure my pee and amount I drink if it continues.

How much are you actually drinking?
