Looking for a bit of a hand hold and support really.
I had a horrendous bout of diarrhoea over the bank holiday weekend , which ended up with me just passing liquid before it stopped. I assumed it was down to a very glutonous Sunday which entailed a very large and delicious pub Roast Lamb dinner followed by an early evening "snack" of pate with chutneys and crackers. Along with 3 pints of beer over 6 hours.
Ive been dieting since March and generally eat "clean" apart from 2 or 3 pints overv2 days most weekends (unhealthy beer garden habit im blaming on the glorious summer we've had).
So I put this weekends upset tummy down to volume of rich food shocking my body.
I felt pretty delicate yesterday and didnt eat until 5pm.
Today I am working from home and pop to the loo for a wee, not needing a poo but thought I might pass wind. As I did I thought I had more diarrhoea but I was passing only bloody mucus.
It looked worse (i hope) in the loo with water but as I continued to wipe there werelarge dark red blobs mucus (slightly smaller than my hand). It reminded me of my show as labour started but it was full of blood.
I obviously phoned GP and have been seen already. Sent home with a FIT test and waiting for my completely empty bowels to produce a sample.
GP examined and said all felt normal but if test come back positive for blood I will need to have a Colonoscopy.
I am so scared this is cancer. Im 10 years free from Thyroid Cancer and the thought of dealing with cancer again terrifies me.
I know Ive got to just play the game and wait but im literally shaking from the shock of the last few hours.
Dr said she's sure its not an infection.
Anyone had similar and positive outcome?
