Stuck in hospital with infection with unknown source. Has anyone else had this?

I am in hospital with sepsis and large abdominal infection. On IV antibiotics for 2 weeks now. They can’t work out (despite many scans) where the infection is coming from. I’m so scared. Has anyone else experienced this?

I remember I felt so much better once I had been in my own place for a few days. Although, fair warning, I remember I also felt really rough a couple of days in, which I think was the adrenaline wearing off and me finally starting to catch up on sleep.
