Is there a bad tummy bug doing the rounds?

I’ve been so unwell with diarrhoea and vomiting. Thought it would be 24 hours and done but I’m over a week in and the diarrhoea is still a-flowing and m aching like mad. Can’t do anything. Has anyone else had a bad stomach bug in the last month or so? I’m aware of the salmonella outbreak so wondered about that but can’t think of anything I could have eaten that would cause it.

Still going here. Stool sample has been provided so will see if that shows anything up. The nausea is unbearable today.

my children bought a horrible sickness bug home just before school holidays . My boy was violently sick for 24 hours. My daughter was the same but also diarrhea. It made its way round to me and I felt awful for a week. Severe sickness and diarrhoea, completely drained and in bed which isn’t like me at all. It took over a week for me to feel somewhat normal and have a bit of energy. I’ve never felt so unwell with a bug before. It did its rounds around our local schools .

This sounds really grim. Can I ask how long it’s been in total?

I has this last week. 4 days of squits and vomiting and the worst stomach cramps I’ve ever had. Absolutely grim. Lots of people off work it at dh’s work too. We are in the northern Home Counties for context.

Yes, I had bad stomach cramps, even after the diarrhoea had stopped. I'm about 10 days after it's finished, still eating quite a light diet and bouts of tiredness. I'm in East Anglia.

Nearly 2 weeks now.

Sorry to hear this, I know how debilitating it is. I hope it clears up soon.

Currently going through this right now. DP started tuesday, DS on wednesday, myself and other son thursday! Now DS1 just threw up again even though he had been clear for over 56 hours! It’s been relentless. Even with isolation, bleaching etc. now just waiting for my 6 month old to get it! Not good at all
