Feet/walking on outside of them

I walk on the outside edge of feet, I can tell because the insoles have dents/wear out on that side. As I age this is causing mild discomfort, not enough to stop me walking or exercising, just I have discomfort on some days. I think it is called supination. I want to try insoles. I understand that you can pay a lot for the ones tailored to your foot and I don’t have the budget for those.

Has anyone had any success with ones bought on Amazon for the same foot issue?

Apologies for advice rather than directly answering your Amazon query but I would suggest asking for a biomechanics assessment either via gp or privately.

This will give you the full picture rather than simply trying to correct with insoles.
Excessive supination can be caused by other issues.

I had the assessment and found out I had hypermobility in my knees and hips and leg length discrepancy as well as the supination.

This affected the treatment and adjustments needed.

Yeah, I think I am looking for a quick and cheap fix but may have to save up and do things properly. What sort of adjustments did you need? I was told I was hyper mobile when I was in my 20s, I wonder if that has caused my feet. I get dodgy knees too.

Can you get an assessment via podiatry for orthotics?

Go to your GP and ask for an assessment with the local NHS orthotics team. I have cerebral palsy and my feet both turn and tip inwards. My neurologist referred me for insoles that keep my feet tipped straight which are provided on the NHS and replaced as needed.
