swim pools do harbour lots of infections imo. My dcs have had open wounds turn nasty after swimming and I've not yet found a dressing that will stay on, so probably best to leave it this time.

If you do take her - watch out for a red line streaking up the leg - called a tracking infection. If you get that then she needs antibiotics - you should probably look out forit if she swims or not come to think of it.
