Ozempic and no nhs doctor

I want to buy ozempic in boots/asda etc but keeps asking for nhs doctor, if I don’t have an nhs doctor am I not entitled to it? I have to pay for it.

You should be able to finde the name of your GP in NHS App.

I guess if you don't have one just try and put N/A or leave that section blank. I'm not sure if it'll work though. I don't really see why it shouldn't but they do always ask to inform the GP.

Wegovy presumably rather than Ozempic? Do you mean online on the Boots or Asda website?

There are lots of other online pharmacies that will prescribe you Wegovy assuming you meet the prescribing criteria. Some of them may let you continue through the online form without giving GP details. Have a look at the list of pharmacies on this price comparison website for an idea of how many there are to choose from:

Reputable pharmacies will contact your GP to make sure you aren't on prescription medication that you shouldn't be on when taking semaglutide. Just give them the name of the Dr you pay to see @Fatpineapple

Please be aware that Voy is a subscription service, it gets much more expensive after the first month and they will charge you to cancel if you want to stop using them before the subscription time is up. Also, people offering their referral code online are breaking the terms of the referral scheme themselves, and are trying to get a large discount for their own next order.

You can’t leave the space blank online or put anything but an nhs doctor. Can I put an old nhs doctor where I don’t live near any more? That’s what’s on the nhs app. They know I’m fat so can back the evidence up 😂 I haven’t used them for years though (even when living near there I used private care but don’t have a single ‘gp’ under that) don’t want to get into trouble either.

I am travelling about this year and don’t have an address, other than my mums which is no where near my old gp and she’s funny about me using her address so I haven’t registered with a new doctor, plus I’m never over that way. Not permanently anywhere atm.

@Fatpineapple the reason they ask is not because they will verify anything with an NHS GP or make any checks about anything, the decision whether or not to prescribe depends on the information that you give them via the online consult. They will check your weight by asking for photos/video/video call.

I currently use Swift Doctor, they ask for your GP surgery when you sign up but you can leave it blank and it will let you continue.

Actually @Fatpineapple if the NHS app is showing a GP even if it's not where you live, then that's who you are currently still registered with. So you can just put their details and that will be perfectly ok.
