These weird feelings are really scaring me

Hi
I have posted on here before about this but I am getting increasingly anxious.
For the past month I have been getting the most horrible sensations which appear to come on more at night.

I start with feeling a bit sick and then I get a feeling of weakness thorughtout my body and these feelings spread to my arms, and legs, and the muscles in the back of my legs, and in my arms start to tingle, I then feel lightheaded and feel as though I am going to pass out.
I do find that if I put my head between my knees it helps.
I also get these trembling/pulsating feelings in my body.
Also I find it helps to take a walk round the block.
Now anxiety/panic attacks have been mentioned to me but I can honestly say I don,t feel its that.
I am also wondering if this could be a symptom of early menopause as I have been getting occasional warm feelings such as if I am standing in a shop I suddenely feel warm and have to go outside, My periods have also been unpredictable for the last year sometimes going 2 months without one.
I am also hypothyroid and my tsh has just been checked and it was 8.
I have been to my doctor and she has ordered a blood test to check glucose, thyroid function, full blood count etc.
She has also referred me to a endocrinologist as they are having problems getting my thyroid stabilised although she isn,t sure if thats causing my symptoms.
I can,t get to see the endo until the 5th of August and these weird turns are freaking me out I feel as though I am going to pass out and have a stroke or something its really horrible.
Has anybody any idea what could be causing it.
I am losing sleep every night and feel horrible in the day.
Sometimes in the day I have felt the muscle twinges and it sort of feels like there is a slight numbness more so in my arms and side of face although I still have feeling it sort of feels a little like when you have had an anesthetic and it has almost worn off.

I think its very wise to get bloods etc, always worth checking out...but all I can tell you from experience, is that I've had ALL of those symptoms you mention, in the past, and it was anxiety. I wouldn't have believed it then, either, so not feeling like it is doens't mean it isn't, IYSWIM.

It also fits with being worse at night, and better when you get up and walk around, etc. IME, the most powerful physical effects of anxiety come with the most unconscious sort of fears and feelings - not the obvious sort of stress.

But you're quite right to get checked out! If you get no physical answers, though, would you consider a few sessions of therapy/counselling to see if anything else fits?? Just a thought, and really hope you feel better soon.

Agree with Elibean-it really does sound like general anxiety, although if your thyroid isn't stable-that could contribute to the anxiety aswell.

The numbness in your arms and face sound like hyperventilation-are you overbreathing because you feel nervous? when you get those feelings try and really slow down your breathing-slow deep breaths, see if the tingling stops.

Hope you feel better soon *thoughts
