Fed up of face pain

Doctors and Dentists think I have TMJ. I have constant pain in my cheeks temples face by ears. I have been suffering for 9 months. I have been using a Michigan mouthguard for 6 weeks and doesn’t seem to be working. I can’t remember what it was like to be pain free. Has anyone had experience of any thing like this

As far as I know this distressing condition is self limiting and will resolve on it's own. My friend had it and it got better without surgical intervention.

This may help https://tmj.org/

🙋‍♂️Fellow sufferer here.

My night time teeth clenching and tmj got so bad, I was waking in the night with my jaw locked and only opening 1”, waking with awful facial pain every morning almost like I was coming down with a sinus infection/flu. I bit through night guards and pulled my lower jaw over one of those front teeth only splints. I was exhausted, ratty and my whole health started to decline.

I recently went to a medical practitioner and got masseter and temporalis Botox, and they also put me on a sleep aid. The relief is insane. I relax before bed, sleep through but not so deep that I can’t wake up for the kids. I don’t wake with my jaw locked or subluxated and best of all, I wake up feeling refreshed and ready to start my day without pain.

I had this for years and a buccal facial massage has helped enormously. I'm going to try and have one every quarter now, they're a bit more expensive than normal massage but it DID help my TMJ

I suffer horrendously with this. I have been having Botox on the NHS for about 4 years now it’s a game changer.
