has anyone taken steroids for allergies

I had a vile allergic attack last week (vile and frightening as I ended up calling 999 with throat swelling) which didn't respond at all to anti-histamines, so I ended up on a three day course of prednisolone.

Now, that has worked - in that I am not itchy - but my period has disappeared. Would three days of steroids do that, or should I be worry about something else altogether?

I've been on three-week courses of prednisolone and I don;'t remember docs ever saying that it wd effect periods.

It wasn't anaphylaxis in the end, they decided that it was a weal forming in the throat. So no adrenaline for me just yet. I will get a referral if it happens again (the most likely suspect is a codeine cough medicine, so it may not).

I've had then for leergy, and no they didn't stop my period arriving.........
