My friend has fybroids that made her anaemic. She had a Hb level of 6.8 and her GP didn't bother to send her for a blood transfusion. She was wondering why she felt like shit. I'm shocked she didn't collapse.

PeaGreene · 24/06/2008 23:18

Oh sweetheart, LOL, are you not worrying already??? Get that appointment my dear.

winnie01 · 24/06/2008 23:18

Now that was a x post...

avenanap · 24/06/2008 23:20

haemoglobin (red blood cells). The normal count is about 14+, anything below 9 is dangerous. They carry Oxygen around the body, the oxygen binds with iron to get around, which is why anaemics get tired, they don't get enough Oxygen.

Post right back here I haven't got the CAT thing which is like email but I've got you on "threads I'm on". Will look out for you.

avenanap · 24/06/2008 23:24

Lol! You can cat them or start your own thread begging for that person. It will be fine . Periods do change as a person gets older. It's down to the change in hormones. Try not to worry.

winnie01 · 24/06/2008 23:25

do you have to pay for cat thing? thanks i will do that after my appt on thursday

OP posts:
winnie01 · 24/06/2008 23:26

avenanap · 24/06/2008 23:26

It's a fiver I think. It's easier to start a thread asing for that person. Who do you want?

winnie01 · 24/06/2008 23:27
