RUQ pain- ultrasound no gallstones

Hi, looking for similar stories.

I have had right side pain on and off for a while now. It’s under my ribs, above my hip. Mostly achey but sometimes sharp and stabbing. I feel dizzy most of the time, exhausted, and on and off clammy feeling and nausea. It does get worse after meals but I do have the pain all of the time. I also have a general lower stomach ache. This could be the irregular bleeding I’ve had since my almost 2 year old was born- emergency surgery to remove a piece of tissue that they thought was placental but didn’t come back as that and they don’t know what it was. I’ve been on and off bleeding for months now. Keep getting rejected from gynaecology to try different tablets etc. I’m not sure these issues are related or not.

I’ve had internal vaginal ultrasound which was normal apart from scar tissue. And today I had an ultrasound as 2 GP’s and doctors from SAU thought it was my gallbladder.

The sonographer today didn’t offer any information but I did ask her if she found anything and she said no obvious stones, and to chase up if I don’t hear from SAU when I am supposed to (appt Wednesday from them). That’s all she said. I did hear her on the phone straight after I left the room saying hello, I just wondered what the protocol is for.. and then I heard no more and I wasn’t hanging around to listen- might not of been about me- but I was one of the first patients. Probably just me being paranoid.

So now I have no idea why I am in pain and feeling like this. I’ve been taking the medication they gave me to relax my gallbladder and it seems to be helping. But I do have pain still.

Anyone got any similar stories with outcomes?

Thanks!

I had acute pain in area of gallbladder and consultant thought gall stones but sonogram did not detect any however I was told there was a build up of sludge. Also told to avoid fatty and spicy food. I ate very bland for a few weeks and pain eased away.

Me.
Started in February with ruq pain after eating fatty food. That time I also had high temperature and raised inflammatory markers although all other bloods were normal.

Ultrasound showed no gallstones. CT scan shows nothing.
I've been referred to gastro and the waiting is 9 months 😭.
It's got to the point where I get pain and bloating after every meal. Ten times worse if there's any fat content. No heartburn though.
I'm eating plain chicken, plain rice or potatoes. Very unappetising.
I can eat spicy food or acidic food so I don't believe it's stomach related.
