I am having surgery for the above and wondered if anyone who has had the same procedure could share how long recovery took please? How long were you out of action and off work? Did recovery go well? Any complications? I am having the procedure transanally.

thanks

I had it and was back to work after 10 days. Wasn't difficult to cope with at all.

I’ve had it about 2 years ago. Bit sore initially- took painkillers for a couple of days. Had to take a few weeks off as a physical job. Worst bit is staying off your feet and not doing anything! If you don’t follow advice repair will fail. Lots of books and Netflix.
After 2 weeks, I could go for walks and slowly build up distance.
Good luck, it is worth it.

Thank you both. That’s very positive! I expected it to be a good few weeks recovery so fingers crossed I have a similar experience.
