If somebody comes out in chicken pox today, and somebody else has had direct contact with them for the past month, how long would it take for them to come out with chicken pox (if they caught it)

Many thanks

a girl at the cm has just come out in the spots today. my daughter has been exposed a few times, but not had it as yet, but with this girl, she's typically all over her, a bit like a slobbering dog really! I am not fussed if she has chicken pox (under belief better to get it when young?) just wondered how long it takes.

10-21 days is the incubation period. My ds came out in spots about 14/15 days after dd first got them.

thanks.
I keep looking at dd thinking she has loads of spots, but turns out to be gravey smudges from dinner etc!

My second son got them three weeks after the end of first sons incubation - really weird. Could have caught them off someone else I suppose but after so much exposure at home you'd think it would have been earlier.
