ok somehow the tip of my middle finger has gotten infected. i've tried antiseptic crea, sudocrem and soaking it in salt water. so far this has made zero difference and i am sporting an incredibly painful swollen fingertip! do i give in and go to doctors? or does anyone know of any helpful suggestions

its making working (and MNing) v.difficult ...arghhh owwww (typing like my dad with 2 fingers! lol)

Go to chemist and get some hydrogen peroxide - water down as per the instructions and soak finger and you will be as right as rain in a few hours!

Finger will fizz a bit but it won't hurt and is only about 57p a bottle!

tried peroxide- and kept soaking it in the salt water...and today its huge!!! should i try and drain it? it actually woke me up throbbing today

Can you see a splinter or anything?

I'd be tempted to sterilise a needle and drain it but that's probably not right but I love doing that sort of thing.

no- think it was a whitlow...tis red throbbing and kills!!! am tempted to do the needle thing- really don't want to go to docs about it.

owwwwwww. think i can see a yellow area in the red so if i do pop it - it may be quite spectacular
