Regularly unwell with viral illness which lingers

Getting so fed up of being unwell regularly and usually
longer than other people. I am wondering if this is down to stress.

its usually cold / flu symptoms need to lie in bed, low energy, change in appetite , headache and some chills.

had investigations for anything sinister at GP in winter they said I just need more rest but easier said than done with work and 3 young kids….

Sorry you’re feeling so awful. It is hard to rest with 3 kids!!!!
I’m wondering - have you done any intolerance testing at all?

You are not alone and I think it's much worse at this time of year. I rarely get viral illnesses but OMG did I get a banger not long ago. Razor blade throat, cough, runny nose, blocked sinuses, the bloody works. I was so miserable.

I thought I'd kick it after a few days. I am now in week THREE, and slowly coming out the other side. I empathise, but it's not unusual.

I feel like this and spoke to a doctor, I now use a vitamin d spray daily to boost immune system. I did see a doctor and their honest opinion is with young kids we are in the trenches of various viruses and should improve in them long term. Not a good solution I know!

My doctor also said the importance of sleep to heal, which is easier said that done with young children!

Stress definitely doesn't help so I would try and deal with your stress levels.

I do feel for you, my last cold went on for 3 weeks!
