C5& 6 neck buldge and arthritis, I'm in agony, I'm doing regular physio at home, on amitriptaline which isn't very effective but consultant advised against anything stronger than paracetamol & ibuprofen.

What supplents can i take to help? My mum said apple cidre vinegar but google said it had no proven benifit to taking it.

Why is the consultant advising against anything stronger? Have you asked about steroid injections at all?

I doubt if any supplements will help. Apple cider vinegar is an old wives remedy for arthritis but there's no evidence to support it.
The disc and arthritis are really two different problems. Have you seen a physiotherapist?
Is it osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis?

Can you afford to pay for some physio? I have 2 disc bulges which are pressing on nerve plus 2 tears, and tendonitis. Not waiting for the NHS so paying privately for physio as it’s been so long already. Chasing NHS today though. I had a neck problem several years ago after being run over and chiropractor helped a lot.

I take lots of supplements, but not sure any help. For joints I take collagen, cod liver oil, glucosamine plus other stuff for other reasons.
