Have recently noticed that DS (21 months) has been going slightly cross eyed in his right eye. I don't even know where to start.. Do I take him to the doctors, or wait until out next HV Visit at nursery (in the next 2 weeks) is there anything I can do??? Should I be worried?

I'd take him to the doc or optician. Or at least ring for advice.

Just called docs and they said to see HV next time. She can plan referals based on what she thinks.....

I think I knew this in my head. I jus wanted some MN Advice!

Thanks

Hope it goes well. Ds1 had a lazy eye but they've signed him off hospital now (he's 10) it was only slight and must've somehow corrected itself?

Thanks Juniper. DS's os only very slight and mainly when tired. I've only noticed it in the last month, but it doesn't seem to be bugging him.....

Hopefully it will correct itself!

yes sounds like it will then. DS1's was when focusing in one eye he could right it himself now it's fine though.

I took dd to the hv when she developed a squint around 18 months. The hv referred us to the orthoptist at the hospital and she ended up with glasses as she is long sighted. She still wears glasses at 4.7years and recently had a small operation to correct the squint as it was still noticeable even when wearing her glasses.
