Take her back to the doctors, especially if this has gone on for a week. it's better to get her checked out. I hope she's feeling better soon. They may tell you to carry on whith what you are doing but you should take her anyway as mums on mn are not able to see your child and will all give you different advice anyway. Just take her to make sure.

I would drop the boiled water and just give her breastmilk.

Is she actually better in herself? Has the diarrhea improved at all? If not, go back to the GP.

Shes ok in herself, only has boiled water at mealtimes with her food.
The diarrhea is just watery/pale green now, not much food going through her by the looks of it, but she is fine and crawling, she is extra tired but then that doesn't surprise me.
Shall take her back tomorrow, couldn't today as couldn't get an appt...

DS (also 8 months) had this a couple of weeks ago. GP was useless so I gave him a Blonde diet (pale bland carbohydrates eg white bread, bananas, baby rice etc etc) and only gave him diluted formula (4 scoops to 8ozs water).

GP reluctantly saw him on day 6 but the bug finally cleared on its own on day 9.

As a nurse, i think that as long as your LO is alert and will take fluids/some food, dont worry too much as their little digestive systems take longer to fight the bugs. (I also gave him probiotic yogarts)

hope she feels better soon
