3.5 yr old blood in poo once or twice a week for a month

My 3.5yo DS has had occurences of blood in his poo for around a month. It is bright red but I am concerned that it is getting a bit more each time it happens- today it was a 5p piece size on the paper. Maybe that's not a lot but it can't be right can it? He had this symptom as a newborn and had to go onto hypoallergenic milk and no dairy for the 1st year but since then no problems, has dairy and no further allergies etc. I saw the GP last week and he wanted to wait and see for a couple of weeks. Tmi but could it be that when he goes for a poo atm, it seems to come out v. quick? It is well formed etc but a lot of it! I did say tmi!!

My DB(13) had blood in his faeces every now and again and it turned out he has Crohns disease which is not curable but easily managed with a few tablets and yearly chack ups it's not as bad as it sounds he isn't any different from any other teenager!

Could it be he's a bit constipated or passing a very large stool? DS had this a couple of times at about the same age, but nothing since.

My ds had this a few times and the GP said he probably had an anal fissure which bled when there was pressure on it. He prescribed some cream which we had to put on after each bowel movement iirc and this seemd to clear it up quite quickly. I think it resulted from him being a bit constipated.

Don't think he's constipated. He goes once a day normally though it's usually quite large! DH took him today and he said DS' poo shot out as fast as a bullet lol- lots of pressure behind it! Don't know what's going on. He had a tummy bug a few weeks ago and had a very loose tummy for a couple of weeks.
