Hello, looking for a little reassurance that this has happened to others and turned out ok. Over the last few days ive been having pain and soreness “down there” like a bruised feeling. Last night i went for a wee and had really sharp pains, almost like a tear sort of feeling a d when I wiped there was some pink on the tissue. Since then that whole general area has been very sore and pink on the tissue after having a wee. I eiped in the middle of the night and had a burning sensation there fir wuite some time. Still some pink spotting this morning and general discomfort. No urgency to wee etc or burning whilst weeing, but its sore. I don’t know if im thinking UTI, it doesn’t seem like the usual ones i remember having. Also Cd 17 so could be ovulation spotting coincidentally? Thinking of ringing 111 rather than wait for GP on Monday? But just looking for anyone who has had similar ?

Sounds very much like a UTI to me, you could always speak to a pharmacist before Monday. I probably wouldn’t trouble 111 with it unless the pain got much worse - but see how it goes. I believe pharmacists can give antibiotics for UTIs now.

i’d suggest go see a pharmacist too. much quicker and more convenient than 111 and they could sort you out with something now.

I’ve had similar.it turned out to be an infection in my urethra, not my bladder and it was really bloody painful! Antibiotics sorted it out.

Does sound like an UTI, take a urine sample to a pharmacist and hopefully they can test for infection and prescribe antibiotics if it is an UTI.

Thank you. Managed to get an out of hours appointment. Trace of blood and leukocytes in urine so antibx prescribed, dr thought i had a bit of thrush as well.

Ok so have now finished course of antibiotics, soreness “down there” still very much remains if not a little less but still sore especially when sitting/driving. Dr mentioned it could be thrush but would treat me for UTI first to see, but im no better. Can thrush present in this way? I have no itching. Will be ringing docs later on for the lab results…im a bit of an anxious worrier when it comes to health an i automatically think of the worst case scenario!
