Best way to give gripe water without choking?

We are currently using a 5ml syringe. Worked like a dream the first night and then last night choked her once and was subsequently almost impossible to get her to take it (maybe choking associations with the taste). Anxious to solve the problem as Tuesday night was my best night's sleep in two months!

It makes quite a difference in getting those burps up doesn't it! You could try a spoon instead? It is quite easy to overly force a syringe plunger and give your baby a gripe water power shock! I remember doing it to DD when she was tiny!

That said, i prefered using the syringe as it didn't tend to end up with sticky water everywhere quite so much, just do it gently!!
