Recurring rash on elbows and knees now bleeding when rubbed

Hello - DS (who is now 12) has had a recurring rash on his elbows and knees from the time he was about four years old. This consists of flesh coloured or pink bumps that get dry and eventually goes away. I always assumed it was molluscum or eczema. It didn’t bother him and was just a bit weird looking. It went away always so I assumed it wasn’t something to be concerned about.

It has just come up again on one elbow. My concern is that it is bleeding when he barely rubs it. Two of the bumps have scabs and they bled a fair amount. We have cleaned and bandaged it, but I am beginning to be concerned. Has anyone seen this? Do you have any idea what it could be?

Google image search said molluscum. At this point see GP. It's gone on for so long and does seem to bother him. They can be frozen off if that's what it is.

Does it come up mainly in the spring/summer?

Possibly a sign of coeliac disease, dermatitis herpetiformis.

My DS gets this every spring/summr on elbows and knees. For him, I think it's something called frictional lichenoid dermatitis and suspect its to do with allergies / pollen. Epaderm usually sorts it though
