I have been getting a funny tingly feeling in my left arm

It's very hard to describe what it feels like. It not pain like I'm used to with the Fibro. it like a tingling, numb feeling right down the arm, and it feels really heavy, like I've been lying on it for too long and sort of over the shoulder and itnot eh chest area. Definately not pain, but it makes me very uncomfortable. I've only had it happen 3 times in the past fornight, but not sure what it is. The first time it happened, i had to carry my arm across my body, as it felt really heavy if I left it by my side. I've also got a lot more tingling and numbness in the left hand and wrist. I have always associated this with the Fibro but not so sure now!

Umm have you had your ticker checked out recently? Heart disease in women can present like this. Either that or a trapped nerve, either way, get ye to the GP pronto!

The thing that springs to mind isheart concerns.

That is probably the most serious option of many though, but I think you should get it checked.

I did wonder if it was stress related. I can feel the numbness in my hand now, becasue DS2 is doing his usual "nobody loves me, everybody hates me" routine, and DS1 has come in from footie and is rolling around on the floor crying because I have told him to have toast to eat instead of 4 penguins!

Carpal tunnel syndrome is another option.

Saltire - whenever i get stressed (especially if i don't really know i am iyswim) the ends of my fingers go numb. Completely numb. Apparently this is not very unusual so could deffo be stress.

Best to get it checked by your GP though.

I get complete numbness in my right hand during a fibro flare up, and tinglng, but it's only in the wrist. I'm not sure if that's what this is, as I also now have it in right leg!
I need shot I think

Trapped nerve?

I've had one for the last month. Sore neck, and initially the arm pains you describe. The arm got much worse to the point of considering amputation . I had turbo pain killers from the GP and five physio sessions (I had my last today). It has not cleared but is now manageable.

See and dr and get your heart checked asap.

Two years ago, my mum presented with the same symptom, plus excruciating shoulder pain and was fobbed off as having a trapped nerve. Less than 24 hrs later she died at home in my dad's ams after a massive heart attack aged only 47.
