bobe fracture...5th metatarsal...help.. any advice?

i have just fractured the 5th metatarsal and i have just seen my specialist..does this injury take as long to heal? i cannot put weight on it atm...so depressed...any advice would be appreciated..thx

dd1 fractured 3 metatarsals a couple of years ago - she had a cast for 3 or 4 weeks but it all healed without any problems. Have they given you anything to stabilise your foot?

yeh..an aircast boot but the specialist is saying it is a difficult fracture to heal
