Remmeber me posting about blood in my poo (can provide link if needed) well today DH has complained of cramping and also reported blood in his poo, how likely is this that we have a bug or something? Am not convinced, as my problem kicked off 8 days ago and DH's only today? Surely if its a bug he would of had symptoms sooner than this?

Should also add that DH has a colonoscopy less than 3 weeks ago for unrelated problem, and nothing out of the ordinary was found

let's get personal here - is it fresh blood or old dark blood, and is it in the poo or just on the poo/on the loo paper?

either way you should talk to the doctor

why did dh have a colonoscopy?

good grief, did I really ask that?

Most likely piles or fissures. Go see your GP just to confirm.

MTA, my blood was on the poo, was a brightish colour and accompanied by really bad lower tummy cramps, i go like clockwork every morning and have been noticing alot of mucus in the poo aswell, today i practically had a heart attack as i thought the poo was covered in blood but on closer inspection it was orange mucus.
DH had a colonoscopy and an endoscopy coz of problems with eating and feeling bloated etc, he was diagnosed with non ulcer dyspepsia but theyw anted to do cameras to be sure nothing sinister was happening. Its a bit strange how DH now has blood and hes never had this before.

as a general rule, bright red blood is usually nothing to worry about but dark blood can be the sign of something more serious. Either way a visit to the doctor is recommended.

What are the thoughts on DH having blood aswell?
