I am covered in tiny, itchy, red spots.... what is it?

Everywhere!

Like little pin pricks. On my scalp, the back of my neck, chest, hips, legs.

Think it started yesterday.

It's kind of red and unsightly.

My first thought was prickly heat, but I haven't been particularly hot/ in the sun.

And I can't think of anything that's changed (e.g. soap powder) etc.

Heat rash? Have you been over-heating in bed?

Goober · 15/06/2008 19:53

Toxic rash?

laidbackinengland · 15/06/2008 19:53

Allergy to something you've eaten ? My friend gets this with prawns and strawberries.

sandy4 · 15/06/2008 19:55

my 4 year old has a similar rash. he has been rolling around in long grass. you also?

HuwEdwards · 15/06/2008 19:57

double at leprosy suggestion!!!

any limbs feeling a bit loose

I second an allergic reaction.

NigellaTheUndomesticGoddess · 15/06/2008 20:16

virus?

whippet · 15/06/2008 21:02

Think it must be some sort of heat rash, though I don't know how/ when. I felt really cold sitting outside at a pub yesterday, and began to feel itchy then. I also had quite a scratchy light knitted top on top of just a camisole, so perhaps something to do with that?

It's a pain though - I've got a black tie 'do' on Friday, and it's going to look hideous if it doesn't clear up.

Wonder if I still have any camoline (sp?) lotion from when kids had chiken pox

Strangely enough, I had prawns on Weds night - something I hate, but felt obliged to eat - but that's rather too long a gap probably?

is it like this?

whippet · 15/06/2008 21:06

Yes - although thankfully not quite as bad!

(I looked at that too, Lou, along with a scary leprosy picture - thanks Nigella )
