How soon after childbirth can I start running?

Don't really know where to put this.

Can I go for a run? I had my baby 7 weeks ago and I feel fine. I haven't had a 6-week check because my doctors' surgery don't seem to know what one is. I mean a gentle run, not a marathon.

Anyone?

You really need a PN checkup- if your drs don't offer it you might be better off changing drs!!!!

it depends what type of birth did you had? if natural then by all means it should be ok

I wish I could GND - mine are dreadful.

Do you mean as opposed to c-section biglips?

I didn't have 6wk check either. My gp asked if I was ok when ds went for his 1st jabs at 8 weeks but that was it. Anyone that has read some of my recent threads will know that my dr is shite anyway.
I'd say if you feel ok, give it a go, but take it easy. Maybe jog to end of road and back to see how you get on nd then every time you go, go a bit further.
