Any podiatrists around?

Hi…about 8 years ago I went to a podiatrist as I was having pain in my left leg and knee when running. She took lots of measurements and video of me running etc and after a couple of visits, presented me with a half insole insert for my trainers which she implied was custom fitted.. it cost a couple of hundred pound for the consultation and insole. Now this worked great…for the last 8 years I’ve switched it between all my trainers and not had any issues…although it is now looking very grubby indeed and falling apart a bit! The podiatrist in question is now long gone so was going to find a new one when I thought I would double check on here whether there’s such a thing as a custom fitted insert or would I be just as well buying one online and skipping the podiatrist? Can anyone advise? I’ve included a photo of the grotty thing!

Any podiatrists around?

We have custom made orthotics from the hospital. They mostly appear to be a modular type system where they select the different elements you need. You could try contacting someone local to see if they can recreate the one you have?
