No, you should use it on his teeth8. Using it on him* may cause red marks and be difficult to remove.

Use adult paste on him or his teeth until he is about 7 years old. Any sooner and he is likely to swallow more flouride than is good for him - tummy ache at best and fluorosis at worst.
