The out line was done yesterday, and it is still sore and quite warm to touch and pink ...... am sure this is probably normal, but if you have had one yourself tell me how long it took to stop hurting.

will soon scab up. Doesn't take long at all.

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 12/06/2008 16:44

it will hurt for a day or two depending on where it is and then it will scab over and itch like mad!! whatever you do dont scratch it or the colour will be faded in the places the scab fell off! i have 3 in various strategically placed areas and the healing was slightly different with each.
just for curiositys sake... what did you get??

Its normal. when I had mine down they recommended putting Preparation H on it! It does ease the pain and cools the area down and also stops it itching so much.

I had another one last week (or the week before) and it was sore for a few days.

Then it started itching and OMG was it annoying. I don't remeber any of my others being so itchy but this one drove me insane.

What and where have you had done?

fordfiesta · 12/06/2008 16:57

Prep H!!!! will give it a go.
Had a large (mid life crisis) paisley pattern on my upper right arm..... i like it!

Don't listen to cod, she loves tattoos really.

cyteen · 12/06/2008 16:58

Bepanthen is better for healing than Prep H (IME anyway). It soothes the itching and stops a scab forming, so you run less risk of ink loss.

ladytophamhatt · 12/06/2008 16:58

Try diprobase too.

that really helps with the itch.

OsmosisBanana · 12/06/2008 22:03

lets make individual threads with pictures of our tattoos and draw cod's attention to them under the guise of 'what eyeliner is best' or 'is it ok to wear navy with green' in style and munty topic.

We will have to do it carefully and slowly so she doesn't get it....

Hur hur hur.

Death by nasty tat pic.
