D&V bug - what should I eat or is it total starvation for me?

DS came down with the same thing early hours of Tuesday morning and was sick three times that day (once ALL down me, ugh). He was ok yesterday but didn't eat much. Thought he was over it but was a bit sick this morning although nothing like Tuesday's dramatic events.

Anyway, I woke in the early hours feeling a bit out of sorts, and was sick once this morning, and have diarrhoea a few times. Have been necking Dioralyte and feel ok. Currently sipping nettle and fennel tea and craving rich tea biscuits. Would that be a dreadful mistake? Should I starve it completely? Just feel so flipping weak

I always go with how I'm feeling

So if you're craving Rich Tea biscuits, have one! You probably need it

Hope you feel better soon

If you crave it eat it - the worst that will happen is that it will reappear!

Ah thanks. I will have a biccie or two then. I really can't stand being sick so am hoping I won't see it again. Don't mind so much if it comes out the other end in a hurry

I think it's worse to be sick/nauseous with an empty stomach. If you want to have something to eat then do. I hope you are feeling better soon. Remember to drink lots of fluids aswell.

Yeah I have double standards when I'm ill than when the kids are ill. With the kids it's strict sips of water only for the first few hours and then B.R.A.T (Bananas, plain boiled Rice, Apples, white Toast) for at least 24hrs.

With me, I just pop an imodium or two and go by with what I crave . But then I am quite lucky that I rarely get the V of D&V bugs (although can feel quite queezy and uninterested in food for a while).

When DD had this a few weeks back the docter said to avoid dairy products
It did seem to work
