9 year old seeing flickering dots in one eye

At the beginning of the week, my daughter started seeing strange flickering dots in only her right eye whenever she goes in to a brightly lit room or outside. We've been to the opticians, they gave her the drops to dilate pupils, had a good look and said her eyes are absolutely fine. Optician said possibly migraine aura but she doesn't get headaches or dizziness or anything. In fact, there's no other symptoms at all that occur with the dots. Would this be something to be concerned about? Worth booking a gp appointment?

Possibly of note is that she has been more ill than usual this term with several viruses all affecting her quite badly. The gp said they are not concerned but we are waiting for a blood test to be on the safe side. She had several days of vomiting and not eating with each virus so we are trying to build up her nutrition with vitamin gummies and shakes like paediasure. Her appetite is still not quite back to normal, particularly in the mornings. I am concerned (even if gp isn't 🙄) as the level of illness is unusual and not in line with the rest of her class. And now with this eye thing on top of all that I'm more worried. I am changing gp practices soon so not sure if I should book her in at our current one (who are awful) or wait until we've switched.

Is she losing weight?

She's very petite anyway so hard to tell.

I get aural migraines, flickering dots, zigzag lines etc, no headaches though.

I’d book a private appointment with an Ophthalmologist if I was concerned. Not worth taking any risks with eyesight

Well she is now complaining of a sore area of her scalp on the same side as the eye thing so god knows if it's related or not. Why is it always on a weekend?! 😩
