Poorly 4 month baby, pale poos!?

!!WARNING BABY POO!!
Since the 23rd now the 27th my 4 month baby hasn’t been drinking his bottles very well, from 5/6oz normally to 2-3oz if I’m lucky but he is drinking a bit better through the night, I did take him to hospital on the 24th but they said his obs where fine and just to keep and eye on him. Since then he has had two very strange looking poos and his drinking is just very on and off. Please any advice!?? Could it just be his milk, he’s on nutramagen cmpa milk.

I'd take him back to the hospital, or at the very least 111 which will probably tell you to take him back anyway, they can go downhill so quickly when they're so small. I'm sure drs would rather tell you it's nothing than having it wait and get worse.

Are they clay coloured? If so I’d have him checked for his liver.

I would just go straight to A and E. He needs blood tests.

My daughter’s poos were this colour when she had Giardiasis (she was 3 or 4 when she had it). She had a bloated tummy, and once had smelly wind, but no other symptoms. It went fairly quickly with the right antibiotics.

As baby is still little and isn’t drinking as usual, agree with the others to take them back to a walk in centre/a and e. I expect 111 will suggest you go in, so might be better just to go!
