Covid? Flu? Mystery new illness?

Not that it matters, but I’m interested! Has anyone had this weird mystery bug? It’s like nothing I’ve ever felt before.

Started with tender stomach. No d&v, just sore stomach / stomach lining. Few days later dry tickly cough / lost voice. Few days after that, bad migraine type headaches and then a few days after that, achey muscles all around rib cage to the point it hurts to breathe it. Feel fairly rough but not bed bound. Slight temp. Not a cold, no sniffles at all or sore throat. I’ve never had a bug with such distinct symptoms spread so far out. Definitely the same bug as 3 in the house now had it in the same order. Interestingly the one without a flu jab feeling much worse. Any one else?!

You could do rapid combo flu/COVID tests and see if that ends the suspense.

Just be aware flu viral load peaks sooner than COVID, so flu tests work best in early days of symptoms, COVID tests work best after days 4+, and a negative tests doesn't mean it's not COVID as the tests aren't super reliable. A positive is definitely a positive though.

You could also have both at once. I didn't have sore throat or cough with flu, I'm vaccinated.

Or it could be something else.

@AussieManque I actually didn’t realise you could get flu tests 🙈 I’ll do that! Like I say, it doesn’t matter it’s just interesting because I can’t think of anything I’ve ever had like it

Ooh! I'm sorry you're feeling grim, but that wierd burning surface stomach pain is just what I've been having.

Also, I now have a cold.
