Dental infection - when should I worry?

have been to the dentist yesterday through 111 and given antibiotics for a dental infection. The pain is getting worse, it’s becoming unbearable I’ve taken my full allowance of ibuprofen and cocodamol in 24 hours. I’ve taken 3 antibiotics however my gum is now huge and white and the swelling is getting bigger and spreading, I’m terrified this is going to become really nasty, what do I do??

Antibiotics usually take a day and a half to 2 days to start working. Stagger your pain relief so you’re taking paracetamol then a couple of hours later ibuprofen. Orajel numbs the area for instant relief or difflam spray. If after 2 days of it getting worse and no relief contact the dentist for different antibiotics and your GP for stronger painkillers. You have my sympathy there’s nothing worse.
