I suspect my Mum is about to be diagnosed.
She's 78, really really doesn't like to think about her health and pretty much ignores everything the doctors say, which makes it really difficult to ascertain whats going on, but she said today that she has a CT scan on Monday... top to toe, and that the doctor suspects Myeloma.
She has a long history of Idiopathic Thrombocytopaenia (platelet disorder), 'nodules' on her spleen and I think, now liver, and now has kidney disease and seems so tired all the time :(
I can't get there (I have a root canal on Monday and Mum is 150 miles away) which is such bad timing, but does anyone know if results are usually quick, and if it is as they suspect, what are the next steps?
