Feeling Anxious About Seeing the Hygienist with Flu Going Around – Should I Postpone?

Hi everyone,
I’ve got a hygienist appointment this Thursday, but with flu cases really high at the moment, I’m feeling a bit anxious about going. Last time I was there, the dental nurse was coughing, and it’s put me off a bit.
The appointment isn’t urgent, but I don’t want to put my health at risk either. Would it be sensible to postpone until things calm down a bit, or am I overthinking it? How do you usually handle appointments during flu season?

Please do

You are over thinking this.

Would your health be particularly put at risk? I mean, is there a reason you are particularly vulnerable?

I would postpone. It’s not an urgent appointment, your teeth will be ok for a couple of months.

I doubt they still have the cough since your last visit 😂

mine always wears a mask in fact I couldn't tell you what she looks like! Have you had the vaccine?

I have a gp appointment today for an up close and personal issue and I'm still going if that helps at all 😊
