2 things to ask the doctor..is that too much at once ?

I must go to the doctor as I think I may have done something to my shoulder, trapped nerve possibly, or strained it in some way-anyway, it aches and prickles a bit, but I also have a bump on the top of my foot,on the bone ( forget if it has a special name) ...now, is it permissible to ask about the 2 things in the one appointment ? I seldom go to the doctor and would rather do the 2 things at same time but don't want him to think 'oh no, she has a list of symptoms...'

Yes, I would. You'll take up a little more time there and then, but free up an appointment slot some other time.

mm, thanks..it seems sensible - I'd keep it very brief

MargaretMountford · 09/06/2008 12:39

oh definitely - ask the receptionist for a double appointment. they shouldn't ask why...

book it beforehand on the phone though? sorry not quite sure what you mean by 'at reception'?

MargaretMountford · 09/06/2008 12:47

Ours says you can cover 2 things in the same appointment if they are both brief, or else you should make a double appointment for them.

But a lot of the time you don't know if it's going to be brief, do you? Because something you think will be brief, the doctor wants to go over your whole history for, and things you thought would take ages they say "Oh yes, seen lots of that. Take these"

MargaretMountford · 09/06/2008 13:02

I think I'll just ask when I book, see what they recommend !
