What’s on my scalp 😬

any ideas what this could be? I initially thought it was a straightener burn but it’s been weeks and it’s not healing up.
it’s sore when prodded and feels like a thick scab that I’m trying my best not to touch or pick and bring extra careful brushing my hair so I don’t catch it.

the pictures aren’t the best, it’s really awkward to photograph the back of my own head!

Images are being reviewed but I promise it’s just a close up of my scalp!

Psoriasis??

It doesn’t look like pictures of psoriasis and I only have that one patch about the size of a pinkie finger nail. It’s just appeared one day and won’t go.

My son had something similar. His turned out to be a skin infection which he needed antibiotics and an antibiotic ointment for.

ETA His was much worse than this but seems similar.

My ex had something very like that. Selsun shampoo cleared it up

You can definitely get a single patch of psoriasis- I’ve had it on my scalp like that. Worth trying some coal tar shampoo.

I’ll order the shampoos mentioned and see if that helps. I’ve been poking it tonight and not it’s throbbing.
