Pericoronitis - in so much pain

Agh this will be my 3rd episode of pericoronitis in 3 years and Jesus this is the worst. I haven’t been able to eat since this morning, attempted porridge but struggling to even open my mouth now. Tried the usual salt water rinse etc but on day 6 now and it’s not easing.

Thankfully have a dentist apt booked in for tomorrow at 4pm but any tips on surviving until then? Also do you think it’s enough to be referred for wisdom removal on the nhs now? The gum flap is huge and you can see the whole wisdom tooth under it but it causes so many problems.

Keep going with really hot salt water. Peroxyl mouthwash sometimes helps mine or gengigel
whatever painkillers you have
I would have thought they could refer you, it’s a 2 year wait in my area so I paid privately in the end. It was an oral surgeon that took it out but in a dentist
