"sting" to the left of my left breast when exercising.

I am doing 3 weekly sessions of cardiovascular exercise, of 35 minutes each.
After around 7 minutes I usually get a "sting" on the left of my left breast. I usually take it easier for another 10 minutes, and will pass gradually. I have had this since I was a teenager. My father says he had it too, and his mum also. She explained it like " we are so narrow on the inside, the heart pumps more blood than the veins can deal with". Is there any medical truth to this, or is it just her interpretation? Should I be worried? (I am worried, slightly....)

I dunno not a doc. have you googled?

Hmmm sounds more muscular than vascular (did I mention I wasn't a doc?)

Don't think your mum's idea really holds water- our bodies surely make our heart size and our veins/arteries compatible.

Best bet it checked by your GP- angina can be a pain that occurs on exercising and then eases, but without knowing if you are overweight, family history of cardio problems and your overall fitness, it's impossible to say.

You know what i've been getting this lately on and off in exactly the same place. It's like a tender sting rather than an internal chest pain. I have been panicking about it somewhat especially as my mum died of breast cancer.
