Evening all,
I've just been to the doctor today in relation to some symtoms I've been having. For as far back as I can remember now I've been having a lump like sensation form in my throat after eating certain foods. It can be quite uncomfortable to swallow for a while but then it eventually goes away. Also I have been badly bothered with heart burn in the past but more recently not so much. I actively try and avoid those foods that make me feel like this!
Around mid September I took what I can only assume was covid and since then I've had an extremely bad cold. I've finally got rid of the runny nose but I've got a dry, tickly lingering cough since. Now I went to the doctors today and mentioned all this and she seemed very concerned about the lump sensation in my throat. I also have been having severe backpain but it's been on and off for years aswell, I blamed my horrendous posture.
I always assumed I just had severe heartburn/acid reflux but didn't realise its can be dangerous if left untreated. So tonight I've got the cough, I'm scared to eat, I think my anxiety is making me think I've a lump in my throat as I haven't ate and my back hurts! Any advice on if u think its reflux related or possibly oesophageal cancer as I know the symptoms are similar. I can also be hoarse at times and my chest feels heavy tonight, again could be anxiety.
P.s I know I sound extreme but I'm just scared. Doc has referred me for xrays, ultrasound and camera down my throat.
