Blister. Wasting pharamcy time if I go?

Hey

Is it possible to have an infection in your toe from a blister?

I got a blister on each foot on little toe on Saturday. Left toe healed fine by Sunday but my right one has just gotten worse and is swollen and painful. The toe itself is swollen.

Been putting savlon on just in case but it's just worse and I can't put anything on it this evening, it's too painful.

Am I wasting pharamcy time if I go? :/ I'd feel so silly going!

Anyone else experienced this? Thanks.

Not wasting pharmacy time. This is what they are for. Get yourself there tomorrow. Or if your GP and you use PATCHES app, do this. They can do a video call.

I work in a GP surgery that's not one of the things pharmacies can prescribe antibiotics for. If it is infected then you need to see a GP or nurse practitioner to prescribe, that would be an on the day app. If you have a minor injuries unit it would also be appropriate to go there ours does all the minor illnesses as well as minor injuries.
